Haradinaj government spends nearly all state financial reserves

The division of the tools for cultural manifestation “Flaka of January”, coverage of the expenses for the families of the convicts in the case of “Kumanovo”, the sharing of 300 thousand euros for covering the spending of 1,500 summer veterans on Albania's coast, the separation of 1m euros for system Operator, Transition and Market (KOSTT), to cover electricity bill, spent in four northern Kosovo municipalities, are some of the decisions voted by the cabinet.
The Kosovo government on February 13th had allocated 600 euros for organising the Organising Council programme for marking the 10th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence. Also, additional 100,000 euros have been allocated, which are scheduled to be exploited according to the need for manifestation.
But, eight months later, the Kosovo government at its 64th meeting made a decision to set aside 255,613 euros for paying off debts left over from the manifestation for the anniversary of Independence.
In the last three meetings alone, the Kosovo government has allocated 368 thousand and 904.01 euros, with one of the decisions being set aside 112 thousand euros for the Presheva Peace Park arrangement.
The government led by Ramush Haradinaj is being characterised as “by the handover of” in the loss of the budget, where, in some cases, by its own will, and in others, forced. Prime Minister Haradinaj during the first year of government has had to pay millions of “fined” for “government mistakes”, and wage increases for himself and his associates.
Immediately after three months of governance, Haradinaj decides to raise himself, his subordinates and the rest of the government cabinet. Even though this decision had been rejected by the opposition, the Constitutional Court had made a decision that salary raising is not contrary to the Constitution of Kosovo, and immediately the Government of Kosovo had reinvigorated the decision to raise government cabinet salaries, Telegrafi writes.
The Kosovo government on June 5th had approved the consortium's request “Bechtel & Enka” to allocate 53.1m euros in order to cover payments for delay in payments, and to extend jobs for 14 months on Elez's Pristina- Hani highway.
