Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj at a media conference, following an official visit to the US, has said Kosovo citizens do not need to worry about the possible agreement with Serbia, as there will be no border or territory movement.
Haradinaj at the conference held at Kosovo Airport, said Kosovo has the blessing of America, the defence department for the Kosovo Army, and that is the best news they bring this time from America.
He said that at all meetings in America they have expressed Pristina's views on the eventual agreement with Serbia.
“All have expressed the view that a binding agreement on recognition with Serbia is necessary and Kosovo remains in dialogue, but not through movement of borders or territory. I assure you that you have no reason to worry because they have not suggested how to come up with the agreement with Serbia, so they have not suggested moving borders or exchanging territories“, he has said.
Haradinaj, questioned by Kosovo Press, also comments on Serbian list leader Goran Rakic's reaction following President Thaci's visit to the north, saying he must go back to every corner of Kosovo.
“Wyman is of all living in Kosovo, Albanians, Serbs, all communities. Even the president is of all Kosovo citizens, so he has gone north, must go again, to every corner of Kosovo. So it's both northern and south”, Haradinaj said.
Otherwise, Serbian List Chairman and once the chairman of the northern Mitrovica municipality, Goran Rakic, has said that if KFOR fails to protect Serbs then the Serbian state should protect them and their properties.
“If KFOR does not want, then I as head of the Serbian List invite the state of Serbia to protect Serbs and their properties. We need to let everyone know that we will not allow that to happen again. We together with the people will protect our freedom and property, because Gazivoda is Serbia's”, Rakic has said.
