German Social Democrat MP Josip Juratovic is one of the best connoisseurs of the former Yugoslavia.
In the interview for Deutche Welle, he sharply criticises Thaci-Vucciq plan: Not only the consequences that are unpredictable, but this plan lacks legitimacy, Juratovic says and complains about the two politicians who treat their people as in fedalism.
“We are against changing borders in Europe. The consequences would be fatal. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, some are already enjoying changes in borders. Macedonia could be in danger and then a question of what would happen to Ukraine, with the Crimea, and so on”, Juratovic said.
If we were to allow all separatist groups to set new boundaries, we would have 40 new states in Europe. Imagine what can happen”, he added.
Juratovic has even cautioned against the two presidents who are leading the Kosovo-Serbian dialogue, Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucinqi.
Another “Problem is legitimacy: who's doing this? Neither Kosovo nor Serbia are presidential states. So we have two presidents who bargain like two feudal princes and trade territories with all the farmers, so the people. This cannot be taken seriously in the 21”, Josip Juratovic said.
