The Donjeta Pajasitaj case is required to be restored to retrial

The Kosovo Women's Network has held a protest before the Court of Appeals in Pristina, where they sought justice for Donjeta Pajazitai, the girl from Strelci who was killed on November 9th 2015.

Adelina Berisha of the Women's Group Network has said they have organised this protest to ask for the justice institutions to take seriously Donjeta Pajazaj's case.

We have appeared in this peaceful protest to appeal to the institutions of justice to take seriously the case of the deceased once again review all findings by the Constitutional Court in Pec, which acquitted the top suspect. We call on him to be seen again if this decision has been fair and to be seen in case he is not the cause of the murder to find Donita's killer and bring him to justice”, she said.

Berisha said they are also seeking justice for all cases of violence on gender grounds.

“Today we have come out to support family members and to put more pressure on justice bodies not only for this case but also all cases of gender-based violence to be taken seriously and treated seriously and to find the agents of violence”, Berisha said.

For the murder of Donjeta Pajazaj was arrested as a suspect of her cousin Naser Pajazitaj, but the same was declared innocent of the court.
