The decision for Germany's financial helm is made by the Administrative Court in Wiesbaden, the capital of the German state Hessen, following a trial initiated by the German Environment Organisation (DUH).
The court stressed the need for preventing diet vehicles with Euro-4 emissions and below, as well as gas vehicles for Euro-1 and 2.
Meanwhile, as it becomes known, the Euro-5 standard diesel vehicles will be halted by next September.
In the event of entry into force, the decision will reportedly include a quarter of the vehicles registered in Frankfurt and a large number of city districts who travel to work by vehicles.
Earlier, stops over several diesel vehicles were also carried out in Hamburg and Stuttgart.
