Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias expressed this Monday optimism about soon closing the Albania-Greece agreement.
“We are close to solving old problems with Albania. Very soon, I believe, we will conclude negotiations on a package of ten issues. This package includes defining borders and sea zones, and so on”, the Greek chief diplomat was quoted in an official statement by the Greek Foreign Ministry.
The Greek foreign minister addressed the Norway Institute of International Relations to the country's academics and politicians during the official visit there. In his address, Kozias spoke of Greece's leading role in the region and Greek diplomacy, which he named “in peace, intelligent dynamics and dialogue”. Stopping in the deal with Prespa, the chief of Greek diplomacy said it was the government's decision Ciocos' decision to take an active role and considered it the innovation of a fair compromise in the region, which is a source of inspiration for parallel cases of disagreement.
