In the Chinese province of Guizhou there is a homeless cave in which not only some people live but an entire village, organized so that the whole community can live in the darkness of the cave. The village of Zingdong is situated at an altitude of 1,800 feet [1,800 m] above sea level, and it can be reached to fill a full hour of climbing up hills - a fact that makes it difficult for residents to meet their basic needs.
The Chinese government's official stance that “Kina is not a cave people's country” has led the only school within this cave to close in 2008, forcing young people to walk full of two hours to the nearest school.

In the school that was built inside the cave, 186 students had followed, and a basketball field was built nearby. Along with the residents of this village in the cave that the mass calls “the last people of the” Cave live some domestic animals such as cows and chickens.
Life without a road to the village meant a life almost entirely without information from the outside world, for residents had no access to television or newspapers.
However, the history of this village through the media has caused tourists to express great interest in the country, so the government has also begun to show interest in it. Now they have a road to the village, and students have settled in a school, and their families visit them on weekends or holidays.
But building a road has led many village residents to flee, yet most have decided to stay in the cave. According to recent statistics, about 100 residents live within it.
