Bujanovac Mayor Shaip Kamberi, at KTV, said they have confirmed to the president that their solution is joining Kosovo.
The only solution for us is joining Kosovo”, he said.
Kamberi said they had and will have a meeting with all political parties, to ask them for the Valley to be treated as Kosovo's. “Unification of attitudes is important for us and all. Likely an agreement that will be difficult to discuss, but must return Kosovo for ratification”, he said.
The Presevo Valley, Kamberi says, was completely forgotten, and now says it is back with “large”. According to him, he expects this issue to be discussed in Brussels and raised to a high level.
“We have demanded that the political spectrum have a clear stance on this issue”, he said.
Kamberi, among other things, expects Kosovo parties' support that this issue will not be neglected. “The president gave us support, we now expect a meeting with the prime minister and parties to support us”, he said.
He says that in Brussels, everything will be decided about them, because Kosovo doesn't control that side, so the Valley, that's why it expects unification.
“We submitted the request of the Albanians in the Valley, now remains in the hands of Kosovo as to what red points or other”, he said.
If Serbia wants to search north in exchange for Presevo, Kamberi said they would not want Kosovo and no part of it to be endangered.
“Reciprocity is our constant request. Put the rights of Albanians in that box” on the table, he said.
Kamberi said he expects incidents not to occur to strain the situation in the Valley.
The mayor of Bujanoc, at the end of his interview, said their application addressed to the EU, to address Serbia as well, as they love their rights.
We remember that after the Valley leaders' meeting today with President Hashim Thaci, Presevo Mayor Shqim Arifi, read the request signed by political representatives of the Valley, saying they hope this demand will be prosecuted as soon as it is prosecuted in the Kosovo Assembly.
He added that they have called for involvement by Presevo, Bujanoc and Medvedja leaders in the Kosovo negotiating delegation in Brussels.
