Bariqiri: Unity Team conducted by Hashim Thaci

The Democratic League of Kosovo has decided not to move from its position to dialogue with Serbia, and discussions about the idea of restructuring territories, despite today's decision by the Government of Kosovo to appoint the Unity Team at the helm with Fatmir Limaj. LDK Secretary Ismet Beqiri has called “game” and “manipulate” Government-appointed Unity Team “Haradinaj”, where it has accused President Hashim Thaci of having legalised on the issue.
“For the Democratic League of Kosovo that doesn't change anything, it is very clear that with this game that today has become a dancer to Hashim Thaci, there is no reason for the LDK to change anything from the stance we have after”, Beqiri said.
He has reiterated the party's stance that the country should go to new parliamentary elections, as according to him this Government is of the minority and only in that way can be gained civic legitimacy.
This government is minority and does not represent the interests of citizens. For our management, it's a try, kind of a cover for continuing what is being done by Mr. Thaci”, Beqiri told Blic.
The LDK secretary has also been declared regarding the resolution prepared by this party, supported by two other opposition parties -- the VV and the PSD -- for rejecting the idea for exchange of territories.
“Tomorrow will come to the polls a resolution banning everyone from talking about division, exchange or fragmentation of territories. We think that this haste should be interrupted, to harm the country”, Beqiri said.
According to the Government's decision, the Unity Team consists of the leading Fatmir Limaj, Enver Hoxhaj-Svvj-Disquire. The team will now be represented by members such as Behxhet Pacolli, Dardan Gashi, Mahir Jagcilar, as well as Avni Arifi.
But not alone. This list, Prime Minister Haradinaj has added to it by a representative from opposition parties: LDK, VV, PSD and Alternatives. Besides, representatives of civil society will also participate in the dialogue process.
Otherwise, opposition parties have called an extraordinary session for tomorrow, which is expected to vote on a resolution aimed at obstructing President Hashim Thaci, negotiating Kosovo's territorial integrity with the Serbian state.
