No signatures say they have placed in any document of the KLA's Government Commission for the Verification of Veterans, but despite that, Xhavit Jashar and Fadil Shudreaj are two of the 12 Special Prosecutors in the indictment known as the “False Venterians”, KTV reports. Only once do they say they were interviewed by Blakaj, and they both want to face the man in court who, according to them, has falsely accused them.
Shudre's Jashari are convinced that the Commission was dismissed without closing the Veterans' Lists, and that, according to them, came with the fact that the Commission wanted to make a decision to reject defence ministry lists, which was in effect.
The introduction of UCMP's veterans to the list, they reason with the fact that everyone has been parallel to KLA soldiers.
When the Commission finished its work in May 2016, it claimed to have examined 65 thousand apps, while the special prosecution filed says it is based on examining 80 thousand apps.
Yasar and even Shurdaj say they did not know the exact number of war veterans when the mandate was completed, as they said they had failed to finalise the lists. The act for veterans was compiled by prosecutor Elez Blakaj, who left Kosovo after saying there was pressure from State Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi.
All 12 former members of the War Veterans Verification Commission, including Agim Ceku, Rrustem Berisha, Nuredin Lushtaku and Shumbin Demalijajan, are charged with misdemeanoring the task. According to this indictment, with the payment of false KLA veterans, Kosovo's budget has been damaged in the amount of around 68m euros.
