Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri writes that the case of outgoing prosecutor Elez Blakaj has once again brought the debate on KLA veterans.
Tahiri says that in this debate, two positions must be clarified, which he says are thanks to true veterans and investigations into fraudulent veterans.
It says that as justice minister, I will give support to institutions for investigating veterans' lists.

The outgoing prosecutor's case has once again brought the debate on Kosovo Liberation Army war veterans. Beyond the political discourse that unfortunately is used much to generate unreasonable discussions, there are only two fundamental positions that are correct in all meanings. First, our society is grateful for each veteran, who in the most difficult times in the history of our people were in charge of the duty of protecting and freeing Kosovo. Thousands of them have left their limbs on the front lines, and this deserves priceless recognition, respect, and dignity. Second, our society is designed to be correct and just society, through aspirin for a legal state, as an image of how a contemporary and democratic society is built. When we are in the legal state, compromises are expressed in the law language and nowhere else but in law. The investigation into misuse of veterans' list lists should not be seen from any other perspective than legal perspective. If there have been abuses, abusers should be identified and given a sentence specified by law. The process, as such, renders no one's credit except materializes our social and state aspirations for a worthy Republic in which everyone is known for what is due and who receives the punishment for the abuse of merit. As justice minister, as long as I have a legal mandate, it will give powerful support to independent institutions in investigating this issue to the end, so as to restore the full dignity of veterans who have been sealed by history before sealing everyone's lists./Periscopi/
