The United Nations today warned of the possibility of a third <x0vale” cholera epidemic in Yemen, and its spokesman, Stefan Dzizarik, has said there are an increasing number of suspected cases with the disease.
According to him, 1.1 million suspected cases and more than 2,300 deaths have been reported in Yemen since April 2017.
Dzizarik said humanitarian organisations are trying to avoid diseases, and over 385,000 people have been vaccinated in August against this infectious disease. As he said, in May some 275,000 Adden citizens were vaccinated south of Yemen.
Colera deals with the introduction of contaminated food or drink, so humanitarian organisations continue to supply water, sanitation and sanitation to health institutions.
