A man has been killed at a police station in Cornellà de Llobrega, south of Barcelona, after being armed with a knife and heard screaming in Arabic.
The striker reportedly was 29 years old from Algeria, entered the building in the early hours of the morning and was killed by a security member.
Catalonian police have said the attacker has targeted officials.
According to reports he screamed “Allabub Akbar” God is great."
Spanish news agency Efe has said that the attacker lived near the Cornellà de Llobrega area and that there have been identification numbers of foreigners.
Police stations throughout Spain have been alarmed as a result of this incident.
This attack occurred just three days after marking the first anniversary of the 2017 jihadist attacks in Barcelona and near Cambridge, in which 17 people had died.
