Several reports in Ankara have reported that several shots have been heard towards security booths outside the US Embassy in the early hours of August 20th, but American officials have said no one has been injured.
Turkish news agencies have said that a person with firearms fired four or five times by a white car that has been moving.
Police in Ankara have said 20 August that they are looking for cars involved in the incident/
The American Embassy is closed this week after Turkey marks the Kurban Bajrami holiday.
