Saranda's magnificent beach is certainly one of the most popular attractions for local vacationers, and especially foreigners, who choose to rest on this city's <x0).

Saranda port docked ship “St. Damian”, which aboard it carried more than 12,000 Italian tourists as well as over 150 vehicles, figures confirmed for the Albanian Telegraph Agency (ATSH) by Saranda Port Director Kozeta Statha.

“Alija St. Damian is considered a tourist ship and comes with a closed list, with only Italians, and stands for 1 or 2 weeks. Today there were over 1,200 passengers and over 150 cars. They have representatives in Saranda, a shipping agent, who announces all these cruise ships, making announcements at the port of captainship and border police, which takes place 24 hours before the ferry is launched, to see if there are free towers for its dock. These types of ships come about 05 o'clock or 6 o'clock in the morning, and about 12 o'clock, the group that came to Italy about 1 week or 2 weeks ago, not taking any passengers aboard, except those Italian”, the director points out.

Asked about the services, as well as the port captain's body for the docking and safety of tourists, Principal Statha says that in turn, they are becoming a very good job, both in anchoring, but also in congratulating the first tourist welcome.

The director of the Saranda Port suggested that over the next few weeks, more Italian tourists are expected to bring in more than 2,000.

This ship came today for the first time, but the previous three Mondays we had other ships visiting us, with a very high number of tourists.

The first three Mondays came “Red Stari” and this ship that came today has made reservations for another 5 times to come to Saranda.

The smallest number that this ship has brought has been about 400 people, today I look at more than 1,200, and according to the communication we've had, the agenda, the next time there will be more than 2 thousand tourists on this ship”, Statha stressed.

Saranda has become a highly beloved tourist destination not only for local tourists but also for those who choose to rest near the clean sea and quiet to offer Albania's southern beaches.
