According to German Deputy Prime Minister Stefan Zibert, Angela Merkel and Vladimir Putin at today's meeting, they will discuss the situation in Syria, the situation in Ukraine, and the UN-based project naught Stream 250.
Analysts say Merkel and Putin will also discuss increasing concerns in the face of US President Donald Trump's diplomacy, writes Periscope.
As it says, the meeting will be used to boost relations between the two countries and exchange ideas about American sanctions that have affected both countries.
Merkel and Putin have a long, frustrating situation since 2005. Merkel has repeatedly spoken against annexing the Crime from Russia and also about Russian access to the conflict in Syria. /Periscope.
