Even connoisseurs of the integration process estimate that the visa issue on the LIBE Commission, which is within the framework of the European Parliament (PE), will pass smoothly. Meanwhile, voting on this commission paves the way for the passage of liberalisation to Parliament and the Council of Ministers, Gazzeta Zeri writes today.
As long as the EP vote is done in a simple majority, the Council vote is estimated to be more difficult, as there are several EU member states that are still sceptical about liberalisation. Despite this, Kosovo institution leaders have indicated that citizens would be able to move freely this year, but opposition representatives continue to point out that this year there will be no chance for citizens to move into the Schengen area.
