Italy's populist government shows fierce: Build the bridge with your money

The ring of the Bridge in Genoa, Italy, writes Periscopi to 37 people and has hurt many others.

But the Italian government has reacted immediately by forcing the bridge construction company to rebuild it at its expense. The infrastructure company Highways for Ictalia has even been subjected to an investigation initiated by the Transport Ministry.

The same company is said to have made constructions in Albania as well, and the Albanian country has even started inspecting bridges as if they were damaged in Genoa.

More than 600 people have been evacuated from their homes under the bridge for fear that new collapses would endanger their lives. /Periscopi
