Italian media: Albanian crime is devouring Europe

Albania, leading country in drug trafficking

Albanian crime is conquering Europe. Albanian criminal organisations control territories, make significant investments and actively influence Albanian politics, says Open Society, in a report on the evolution of organised crime in Albania. Funded by the production and trafficking of cannabis, criminal groups have taken a leading role in the country's economy and society.
