Equipment with drugs and spending material in general hospitals and at the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo (QKUK) continues to fail to meet all patients' demands.
While the supply of drugs from the essential list has reached over 50%, the one with a saving material in some hospitals is not even 30%. Hospital directors consider that at this time the number of patients seeking medical treatment is large, while the supply of medical products is insufficient.
The director of the Gjakova Hospital, Ahmet Aslani, in a pronomination for the newspaper “Voice” has said that the supply of drugs from the essential list at this hospital is 57%, while with saving material 25%. According to him, the supply is lower than last months.
For the months of April, May and June, supply of medicines has been 60% and 28% with save material, while in the third quarter of this year, which includes July until today, the supply of drugs from the essential list is 57% and with extensive material 25%<1>, he said.
Aslan has stated that at this time even the number of patients seeking medical treatment in this hospital is greater, so that even this provision the Ministry has made does not meet all the patients ' demands. “We are also supplied with Dialis extenuating material, mostly little has improved supply, but not all of it. In part, the supply meets the requirements.
