Banks all over the world are under threat of a “attack averted<x1 hacker> and millions are expected to disappear from accounts.
The warning was given by the FBI in a reliable co-ordination with banks, which online security expert Brian Krebs published.
According to the FBI, warning has been sent to international banks Friday and finds hackers are preparing massive attacks on global ATMs in the coming days.
“The FBI has collected evidence showing that online criminals are planning to launch a global fraud at ATM, which is linked to a problem we know as an unlimited” operation, the report says.
Analysts have warned bankers to establish a well-coordinated global scheme called “ATM key-out”. Apparently, criminals are planning to avenge the processor inside the ATM and use “kn the” folder at ATMs around the world to steal millions within hours.
One similar thing happened nine years ago when nine million dollars lost from ATMs worldwide.
The report reportedly is in particular the ATMs of smaller banks that do not update equipment according to the latest safety standards. /Periscopi
