“Today some people are trying to threaten us through the economy, through interest rates, currency exchanges, investments and inflation. I have a message for them: we have seen your games and we are challenging”, Erdogan said at his ruling AK Party congress, writes Tch.
Turkish liras is experiencing a deep crisis and continuing decline, while US-Turkey tensions have had the main impact on the situation. Just yesterday, the lira lost 3% of its value again, as a result of a Turkish court's decision not to release American pastor Andrew Brunson.
