Over 7.6 billion people live on earth, and this number is increasing daily. The easiest way to understand the impact we have on the planet is to ask ourselves “what would it be if we weren't?”
This response is offered from page “What if”, the Kosovo Press broadcasts.
In seconds
If all humans suddenly disappeared from Earth, chaos would have occurred at the same moment. Airplanes would fall, trains would exit the railway, cars without drivers.
In an hour
In an hour, darkness would begin all over the world. The thermals would stop the job.
After another day, computers would automatically shut down nuclear power plants and thus prevent disaster. The world will remain without electricity.
After three days
The streets would be full of animals.
After 10 Days
In ten days, security measures at nuclear power stations will be bypassed and chains detonated, and toxic radiation will be released across the globe. Animals living in the affected areas would die. Animals would be drawn to the mountains.
After a few years
For some years, the cities we know today will begin to resemble parks. Radiation will be cleared and vegetation will start growing on the streets and buildings. Everything will be covered with moss. After 30 Years
For 30 years the satellites launched to explore the universe would return to Earth. Houses and tall buildings would collapse.
After 40 Years
Global warming will continue for 40 years after human extinction. After 60 years
For 60 years, marine life would be restored.
After 150 years
Nature would return to its natural state. London would turn into a swamp, in Vancouver, snow and ice would rise in high buildings, and Las Vegas would be a desert.
After 500 years
Forests would become healthier than they were in the last 10,000 years, and nature would wipe out every trace of human existence.
