P DS: Kadri Wessel must not lead the property

Intrigued by the recent scandal in the justice system, Social Democrat Party officials have called for extraordinary session of the Kosovo Parliament to discuss steps to take to bring justice out of this situation.

Frasher Krasniqi, the deputy in the Kosovo Assembly, has said at a media conference that with <x0mract Lumez”, the close connection of power with the top people of justice was stressed, which he said is unable to investigate real organised crime and numerous scandals, as is the case of veterans' lists.

Krasniqi: Request extraordinary Kosovo Assembly Meetings

“The PSD today requires an extraordinary meeting of the Kosovo Assembly. We today invite other opposition parties to give us signatures. We have it ready and very soon we will launch an extraordinary conference in the Kosovo Assembly today. This is the least we can do about this situation. It is unacceptable that such situations, such scandals, are fleeing without proper response. So the least we can do as opposition, we have 58 signatures, is call an extraordinary session regarding this case”, he said.

According to him, following statements by outgoing prosecutor Elez Blakaj about blackmail and threats, statements by institutional leaders such as Prime Minister Kadri Veselini's chief parliament and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's chief prosecutor, Alexander Lumezi, again indicate that the justice system in Kosovo is caught.

He even said that instead of asking for an investigation into this issue, the heads of local institutions have shown complete disregard, calling it Blacky a coward.

Krasniqi: Wessel should seek investigation into Blakaj's statements

“We have past cases where MPs from the Republic of Kosovo are invited to issue statements in the quality of the witness. Why hasn't Alexander Lumez been exiled to the current prosecutor, to stop this from happening, but he has intervened in the Vessel case. Lumez admits he's met with Besim Beqaj, one of the people who has an indictment for protostin, and should also explain why he's met him. Why isn't Mr. Wessel coming up, asking for an investigation into his statements, as a serious head of a state, who has no earring. He should take seriously a prosecutor's statements. As the chief official, you should seek an investigation into them, not to accuse the prosecutor of being a coward and a fraud”, he said.

Meanwhile, in addition to the request to hold an extraordinary session where this scandal would be discussed, at this conference, Red Nature, a member of the leadership, indicated that the PSD also supports today's protest by civil society.

“Afera proto won't be possible without a chief prosecutor. Ademi Grabovci's Kadri Wessel cannot without prosecutors and chief prosecutor Reshat Milaku and others. Just as no prosecutors can investigate crime and corruption without the support of citizens who want justice. The last justice scandal in the veterans case affects the node of contradictions between the economic model and the political system, whose lubricants are crime and corruption... Unfortunately, some of the individuals involved in the scandal have once carried the burden of war in Kosovo”, she said.

In this regard, MP Frasher Krasniqi indicated that the PSD is for a property process, which would take place by the Parliament of Kosovo, as it confirmed that Chief Prime Minister Wessel is not the right person to lead this process.

“We think we should have a property process, which is done in the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament, where they participate, as Red explained, all the subjects, and we definitely don't think that Wessel is the right person to take the lead at”, he stressed.
