Serbia's Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, said his country will never participate within a coalition that will work against Turkey.

Daciq and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevluüt Cavuşoğlu, following the opening of Serbia's Honour Consulate in Antalya, held a joint press conference.

As you know during the coup attempt on July 15th, we didn't expect what would happen (Recep Tayip) Erdoğan, immediately seized the coup. I mean once again that Serbia will never participate within a coalition that will work against Turkey”, Serbia's top diplomat said, stressing his country's support for Turkey in difficult times, AA reports.

He said that with last year's visit to President Erdoğan to Serbia, a new period has begun. Dacic also said that even economically relations between the two countries are in the best direction and that the two countries are satisfied.

Daciq added that with Turkey they want to develop cultural, educational and sports relations.

As regards the consulate that opened in Antalya, “Next year said, we will celebrate the 140th anniversary of relations. We want these friendly relationships to develop even more”.

Serbian top diplomat stressed that they will work in the interests of Balkan peoples living in Turkey and Muslim peoples living in Serbia.
