According to Dacic, the US now leaves open the possibility of dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade continuing until finding a lasting solution.

When I say it has changed, I remember that this stance has been that the Kosovo issue is finished. But now it has changed with the arrival of the new administration. They do not propose solutions but leave open the possibility that an acceptable solution for both sides will be reached in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, and that outcome is sufficient to open the doors for dialogue”, Serbian agency Beta quoted Ivica Dacic as saying.

The Serbian top diplomat made that comment after a meeting with Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

Dacic again stressed that Serbia cannot recognise unilaterally proclaimed independence from Kosovo and that finding a compromise solution will be the subject of all meetings in the future.

According to Beta agency, Dacic has stressed that in this regard both he and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucinq have talked with Russian officials.

We will not do anything behind our strategic partner's back, and the place that gives us support”, he added.
