After the average age of the Kosovo Police is considered high, through this bill it is intended for police to retire at 55 and receive 60 per cent of their salary, KTV reports.
Although the working group in drafting this bill has consistently given its proposals and has demanded that the law be prosecuted further, such a thing has not yet happened in the government.
The police union says it is still not known when the same bill will go to government to then proceed to the Assembly for approval.
Valbona Kamberi, head of the KP trade union, says the government's reason for failing to take the measures in this direction has been the high cost, which the state budget cannot afford.
The criticism over the government casts Vetevendosje, according to which the government is unable to lower the average age of police in order to make the same one more efficient.
MP Rexhep Selimi, who has sometimes called for the early retirement of members of police in the country, says the government is not ready and not willing to solve this problem.
Kohavision has sent questions to the Government of Kosovo and the Ministry of Internal Affairs about when to deal with this bill to then send it to the assembly for approval, but has not received answers.
This law is also expected to regulate the types of pensions that will be regular, disabled, family, and voluntary retirement.
