Collecting school tools for children who are unable to buy

Children of the Kosovo Garden “Play and Learn” have chosen to help through donation of school tools in the campaign launched “September this year with the whole” bag for all needy children who are unable to buy notebooks and colors for school.

The event is organised by “Mother and Happy Children”, the association that is led by actress Edita Duli, and is currently organising charitable activities for over 600 needy families.

The “Reading Maniacs” and two other organisations, “Time on our hands” from Vushtrria and”Comunity Supporters” from Fushe Kosova is supporting the action that started from August 22nd and will continue until 22nd.

” Today, I've been coming with kids to bring in campaign bags donated to students, not the first time we've been participating in the campaign that Edita is hosting, either the happy mother and child association, this is actually the initiative that's been taken by Edita, but that every initiative I take from her I support as individuals but also with the garden. Knowing how people can tell me now freely we are very poor why there are very rich beds and very poor layers so that I may not be able to help them with things that are perhaps overindulgence or at home. I'm sure everyone has a bag in the house, everyone has notebooks that they use at home and they use in color and stuff that maybe for a student they were necessary. So the call is always about what's more solidified with people like that not just for this campaign, but whatever comes to the future, Murati said.

The same campaign was organised last year, when only “Mother and Happy Children” and the group “Maniacs of reading” had started the action.

Short Jonuzi from “Maniacs of Reading”, a Facebook group promoting books and reading, and has 20,000 members, says that through this campaign, they wanted to help children in need.

Last year's success says it has moved them to continue because they managed to help from a child to 600 registered families.

The campaign actually started last year. So last year it was organized in two or three days, and we went out one day and gathered school supplies. Last year we've organised reading maniacs and happy mothers and children. Because of the success we've had in organising this year and this time several other organizations, such as the Community Builders and the Time Organization in our hands from Vushtrria”, have shown.

Jonuzi has also said that in the absence of a state organisation to help families in need, organisations and citizens must self-organise.

The proper education and education that individuals get at an early age from the first grade onward is the basis for a healthy and powerful society... However, it is really necessary that the state that these families who cannot afford these school tools buy for their children would have to support, not necessarily, that their parent's organizens thought to buy me these tools, but in the absence of a state record organization, something like that would be needed by organization this”, she said.

” In our NGO are registered over 600 families in need, and seeing every time their need to come get clothes in our NGO, they all get free of charge, then we decided to make such a campaign and help them with school tools because kids always rejoice when they get new things for school I know when I was a child or other children this time we were joined by two other NGOs, one from Kosovo working in the Roma community and the learning maniacs. And then the best way is to get to the public and bring in the rest of the people and they don't come and they're asking what's going on, they're thinking we're selling and then we're showing that we're gathering for the kids in need they're going to buy something and they're bringing us”, she said.

While Arta Trstena from the organisation “Community Soupporters”, working with the Roma community, Shcal and Egyptian in Fushe Kosovo, says the needs of this community have led to join the action so that all children equally have the opportunity to continue teaching.

The school tools collection event will continue until 22 September, and all who want to help can deliver school tools to the offices of the organisation “na and Happy Children” in Ulpiana district in Pristina.
