The Islamic Community of Kosovo has distributed donations worth two thousand and 500 euros for SOS Village children in Pristina.
In this case, BIK chairman Mufti Naim Ternava demanded that these children be helped much more by society, while warning that the Islamic Community of Kosovo will continue with such activities, especially on holiday occasions, even in the future.
The “today in view of the symbol of the Kurban-Bajram Day, is also the help we have provided for the village of SOS, worth two thousand and 500 euros for children sheltered here. I mean, it's a big deal going on in this village. It's an interest from the staff working in this village, and that made me very happy. The children enjoyed extremely good health, and we as a society have to do a lot because these are our children, to make sure that they have even better conditions and work even harder in this direction and that more is supported by”, Ternava said.
BIK's leader has argued that the children laid down at the welfare hospital and children sheltered in the SOS Village to help honor this great holiday.
The amount for children lying in the Paddyr and those sheltered in Kosovo's SOS villages totals about 10,000 euros.
For people, for parents, there is nothing more sacred than children, so health is above all. So when a family has a sick child, it knows how that family feels. Therefore, those children lying there in the Paddy, you saw the conditions and we wanted to be with those who desperately need them, their health needs to improve, however little a small impulse, a smile to see on their faces especially on this special day for all Muslims who live on the side of the globe, in particular in Kosovo. Our coming here especially for the abandoned children by themselves speaks. There should be no big comment to understand the answer to why abandoned children, so we should be with those who have been abandoned”, Ternava said.
While, Besnik Peci, the leader of alternative care to Kosovo's SOS Villages, has thanked Mufti Ternava and all people of goodwill for helping.
“Anyway, this work deserves gratitude and respect and not just BIK, but all people of goodwill who have found time and will to help the children of the SOS villages of Kosovo. On behalf of the children of the SOS Villages of Kosovo, we thank them for the will and solidarity that they have shown on this holiday day”, Peci said.
Otherwise, BIK has been ready to help SOS Villages, while donations have been provided by Muslim believers, but there has also been a donation by an association from Dubai, which, with particular emphasis, has sent a significant amount that have signaled to be gifts for Kurban-Bajram.
