Ex-Deputer Syla, Besnik Berisha, has confirmed this.
Such a decision by the Pristina Constitutional Court had been issued on March 12th of this year, where it rejected the prosecution's request for extending the detention measure to Azem Syla, releasing her to be protected in freedom, report Inseder. After just 11 days of freedom, however, Azem Syla's decision was made to return him to domestic prison.
Azem Syla, along with 21 other people, is accused of organised crime in connection with the removal of social-owned lands in the Lapnasela Veternik near Pristina, in the case called “Toka”.
The Kosovo Special Prosecutor had filed charges against them on October 25, 2016.
The defendants are charged with organised criminal acts, money laundering, bribery, heavy fraud, duty fraud, legal decision enforcement, misuse of office, legalisation of forged content and tax evasion.
According to the indictment, members of this group have co-operated, each with a certain role, to deprive Kosovo of social property through criminal activities, including forging decisions and other official documents, fraud and corrupt actions.
