Assutrik Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz, during a meeting that has been held with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn, and Serbia's President, Alexander Vuciq, has voiced support for the Kosovo-Serbia agreement and their integrity in the EU.
The primary focus of this meeting was the process of dialogue for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, mediated by the EU.
Regarding this process, Chancellor Kurtz encouraged the two presidents to continue their efforts to reach agreement.
“Achieving the agreement is the main precondition for the two states' EU membership. Austria supports dialogue and reaching the agreement, as well as the integration of Western Balkan states into the EU”, Kurz stressed.
“Thaci expressed gratitude to Austria for the help under the EU integration process and the achievement of the peaceful eventual agreement with Serbia”, the communique sent to the media says.
