US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo today accused his Russian counterpart, Serguei Lavrov, of defending the Russian-backed attack of the regime of Damascus against the last major rebels in Idleb, Syria.
“Secure Lavrov advocates the Syrian and Russian attack against Idleb”, he said in “Titter”.
“The US considers it to be an escalation in a conflict that is very dangerous”, he added.
The three million Syrians who have been forced to leave their homes and currently in Idleb will suffer this aggression. That's not good. The world is watching you”, the American chief of diplomacy warned.
The US, France and Great Britain have recently warned Assad and Moscow that they will not let the use of chemical weapons by the regime go unpunished in case of an offensive in Idleb.
