According to reports of a study on the international labour market, 70-80% of citizens want to move from their country.
Without giving the causes of this trend, research shows that by 2014-2018, the percentage of Albanians who want to leave has dropped compared to previous polls but still remains in alarming numbers, Oranews reports.
Compared to Albania, other Balkan countries result in having a lower level of citizens' desire to work abroad or currently working abroad.
“The Boston Consulting Group” and the international recruiting company “The Network” have conducted one of the most comprehensive surveys regarding the work preference titled: “to handle global talents 20188x5>.
366,000 people who are a labour force in 197 countries of the world have been asked to realise this survey.
Albania ranks with the same numbers as Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Mexico, Japan, and so on.
On the other hand, countries like China, Croatia, Greece, Lithuania and Hungary show the lowest results of citizens' desire to leave the country.
According to the study, there is a decrease in the desire to work abroad, while results show that 57% of respondents want to move to another job location.
According to “boston Consulting Group”, for this decline appears to have affected the tightening of trade and immigration policies, changing US reputation as a work destination with President Trump, as well as Brexit developments in the United Kingdom.
Another factor that has brought these results globally is the increased nationalism of governments in some countries.
