Zaev urges opposition not to hinder election of KSHZ members

VMRO-DPMNE's provisions to the composition of the KSHZ for Prime Minister Zoran Zaev are teenage behavior. According to Zaev, despite the opposition's stance on the referendum, the State Election Commission (KSHZ) must be functional. “should initially complete the KSHZ's election, and this does not have and should have no links to the referendum. “should initially complete the KSHZ's election and this does not have and should have no links to the referendum. It's a logical issue that opened up after the resignation of KSHZ members. As you know, under the agreement with the opposition, the old model has been chosen, the opposition has the chairmanship and two members, respectively, while power 4 members or said otherwise majority”, Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said.
The draft law on financing political parties, which is also one of the conditions of opposition to unblock the KSHZ, has received green light. The opposition and power have agreed on its model, and the same has been released in parliamentary procedure. However, the Law on Government remains an obstacle. The opposition, except for the condition for technical government 100 days before the elections, also calls for ministers and deputy ministers who are eligible for veto. V MRO wants what the LSDM had when it was in opposition. This, according to Prime Minister Zaev, is impossible for the fact that some time the opposition had stopped political bombs, while now there is no such situation.
Whenever parliamentary elections are held, the prime minister leaves 100 days before the elections and the technical prime minister arrives. Tell you publicly that I am in this stance”, Zaev said.
The State Election Commission has been lacking since December last year, following the resignations of members and KSHZ chairman on moral issues on the basis of the scandal that US Ambassador to Skopje Jess Bayley denounced.
Since then, the opposition and power created working groups for harmonisation of the composition, with the result that the parties agreed to convert the old KSHZ model, respectively, without experts to composition. Although the new composition procedure has begun and the membership competition has been completed, the fate of the KSHZ has been blocked on the Commission for Elections and nominations in the Parliament with which the opposition leads.
The latter as a condition has the Law on Financing political parties and the Law on Government. Unofficially, among the conditions is amnesty for the alleged VMRO officials- DPMNE and accused of violence in the Assembly.
