The referendum on Macedonia's name will take place on 23 September or 30 September or 7 October, and the goal is to complete all obligations planned by January 15th, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said in an interview for Greek state television. ERT.
He explains that the referendum will have a mandatory character, will be accepted by all, even by President Ivanov. Responding to a question regarding deadlines for the Macedonian side Zaev says the determined goal is January 15th.
Zaev explains that after the NATO Summit on July 12th, the debate on the referendum will open on September 23rd, September 30th or October 7th and then there will be a period of three months for constitutional changes.
Zaev expresses his belief that the referendum will be successful because our “citizens want friendship with Greece and want integration with the EU and NATO” and reveal possible questions.
