University of Pristina, most wanted by students

But, not always here, students of surrounding municipalities are enrolled, where there are no universities, because the UPP remains the target of student requests from around Kosovo. Six other public universities have been established in Kosovo in recent years. UP's management, says it does not bypass students of other municipalities as well, and it is enough to meet the competition criteria.

According to Naser Sahit, the teaching projector, what's hurting the UP's, is the fact that it is still having to help new universities with academic staff.

Rame Vataj, director of Prizren University “Uktin Hoti”, suggests that the competition for accepting 2 thousand and 80 new students in academic year 2018-2019 has been launched.

He says that often Prizren's district students are looking for UP, as Prizren University does not have the capacity to accept more students. Other public universities in the country have also opened competitions for new students, while admissional exams for candidates are expected to be held at the end of this month.

Education Minister Shyqi Bytyqi, earlier this year, has declared they are aiming to profile these universities.

According to August officials, the initial report for the profile of these universities has already been sent to the Government, but no response has been returned by the government.
