Sexual harassment charges against media network executive chief CBS

Media Network CBS said on Friday it was investigating allegations of sexual harassment by Les Moonves, the company's 68-year-old executive chief. Farrow won a Pulitzer award last year for an article in the same magazine on sexual charges against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. In his latest article, Farrow said he had interviewed six women who said that they were sexually harassed by Moonwes between the 1980s and 2000.
All of them, writes Farrow, continue to fear that “speaking will become a target for revenge by Moonves, who is known in the industry for his ability to help, or destroy career”.
Moonves said in a statement published in The New Yorker: “They're mistakes and I'm sorry about them. I've never abused my position to damage, or to prevent anyone's career.
Farrow said 30 current and former CBS employees told him the allegations of bad behaviour in CBS include not only Moonves, but also key corporate members, including CBS News and 60 Minutes, one of the most respected network programmes.
Les Moonves' wife, CBS producer TV, Julie Chen, wrote on Twitter: “... Leslie is a good man and a loving father, a devoted man, and a spiritual leader. I fully support my husband and stand behind him and his” statement.
