Serbia's dream is impossible

The former commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Kadri Kastrati, the expert on security issues, estimates that after the completion of the demarcation with Montenegro, it is necessary that sooner or later the demarcation of the border line with Serbia, which has consistently displayed territorial claims on Kosovo. When this process came [...]
When this process comes in line, Kastrati wants the demarcation situation with Montenegro, which kept institutions and the visa liberalisation issue at bay, claiming that Kosovo loses land.
Kastrati has told the Online Economy that before the border demarcation agreement with Serbia is signed, there should be widespread debate between position and opposition in order to have full compliance with this issue.
“Kisa wanted it not to be like the case with Montenegro, before a final agreement is signed on the demarcation of the border to have public debate, have representation of all political parties, position and opposition. Be a comprehensive agreement and debate”, Kastrati told EO.
Kastrati is convinced that Kosovo has conscientious state leaders who, according to him, will not err to give territory to Serbia.
“With Serbia, I am strongly convinced that we have conscious leaders, who have sacrificed in the past and know what freedom and the ability to have a state, have sufficient experts and do not believe that someone will err and give Serbia territory. Absolutely, this is unacceptable”, he added.
He has said that Kosovo is an independent and internationally accepted state with current borders, until he has called on Serbia to take the dream out of its head that it can take over its territory.
Kosovo is an internationally recognised sovereign state with its borders, and absolutely let Serbia remove that dream from the head that will get even a meter of Kosovo territory. This freedom and this state has been won by blood and defeat, not only by the last war, but by generations have fought for our freedom, and that dream of Serbia will be unalable”, Kastrati has been expressed.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has warned that in the new phase of dialogue with Serbia, the demarcation of the border between the two states will also be discussed.
According to him, states have never had state borders, so it will also be difficult to reach consensus with Serbia. On this issue, Thaci has also called for NATO involvement and support.
