Police pledge “zero tolerance” in communications

Gashi said at this meeting that Kosovo police should intensify the pronunciation of fines against traffic regulations violators until the awareness and awareness of participants in communications, asking the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to be more co-operative with the Kosovo Police in this respect.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs in co-operation with the Kosovo Police, will be uncompetitive to violators in traffic and, with the aim of establishing safety in road traffic, will take additional police action, with the aim of raising the level of security in traffic, and will have zero tolerance of the rules of traffic offenders”, Gashi said.
Also discussed at this meeting were the implementation of the new road traffic rules, which will directly affect increased traffic safety and reduced the number of accidents that have been extremely alarming in the last year.
This specially emphasized meeting discussed that accidents in general, and especially the loss of human lives in traffic accidents, is of concern not only to police but also to other institutions and citizens in general, so more comprehensive mobilization and approach, to all acts of role and influence in improving the overall situation in this area.
Rexha stressed, however, that the large number of road traffic accidents has become quite disturbing now and for so long. He said Kosovo police will rigorously implement the measures coming out of the new Law for Road Traffic Rules. The new Road Traffic Law provides stiff but necessary fines for all who violate the rules in communications.
At the end of the meeting, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Kosovo Police have taken all measures to reduce the number of these cases in traffic. The MPB also appealed to relevant institutions such as the Ministry of Infrastructure and Communists to take further steps aimed at minimizing traffic accidents, such as improving road signals and maintaining road axiss, where the risk of possible accidents is greater.
