But citizens who have so far used this app have not found accurate data regarding the number of fines pronounced. They are also concerned about personal data security.
About 61 thousand searches have been conducted by citizens to see how many fines in traffic they have pronounced since the launch of this app online by Kosovo Police.
But for many of them found on this app, they haven't been accurate.
One of the users, Alban Zenelli, says the only punishment he's found on the app has been a fine, which he had already paid.
Zenel's other concern is public data security.
However, in the Agency for Protection of Personal Data, they have ruled out any possibility that this app could affect citizens' privacy.
Her officials have assured that citizens' data is protected.
On the other hand, Kosovo Police have said launching this app is in the testing phase and is working to improve data updates, however, have cited the lack of a system of all institutions involved in the process.
“Vlen points out that in the absence of a unified system of all institutions involved in the process, including the pronunciation of fines by the KP, penalties/decisions by the law organs and payments made through banking authorities, there is the possibility of showing any non-advictation of payments in optimum times carried out by citizens. While concern about personal data protection, the web-moduled for controlling fines in traffic is in full accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection, as well as all available data are encrypted according to standards for encryption of data.
The Kosovo Judiciary Council has told KTV that the online fines system is unified and is in the hands of the Kosovo Police and, according to them, has no connection with courts.
