Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told Russian President Vladimir Putin that his country will continue to attack Iranian military assets in Syria.
Netanyah's office has written on Twitter today that the Israeli leader has told Putin during a telephone conversation that “Israel will continue to act against the establishment of an Iranian military presence in Syria”.
Israel has repeatedly warned Iran not to increase its military presence in Syria and has sometimes carried out air strikes against Iranian targets in Syria.
On July 11th, during a visit to the Kremlin, Netanyah had told Putin that he must encourage Iranian forces to leave Syria.
Putin has close reports with Iran and Syria, but is trying to establish close relations with Israel as well.
