After Kosovo environmental activists have called for a boycott of the Elvana singer's concert, which is expected to be held Saturday evening in Pristina, saying warned fireworks endanger people and animals, MPB said this bank has permission for their launch.
In response to KALLXO.com MPB officials have said that the use of fireworks is permitted by the law for civilian use of explosives and that this minister has given PCB permission to throw a ton of fireworks.
“In this case, the ministry has given permission to use fireworks in the courtyard of the National Library, the company owns the approval of the Pristina Library and Community for holding the event (such as the concert and fireworks lighting)”, the MPB's response to the BIRN provided.
The same event is said to have been held in the past few years, where 3,000kg of fireworks were added this year in 2017.
“. . taking into account environmental and security issues, for this year the ministry has approved the permit with a limited amount of 1,000kg”, it says in response.
The ministry then says that this amount of 1,000 pounds [1,000 kg] of gross paper, cardboard, gipsy and soil that make up fireworks, while the net amount of powder here can have about 60kg.
