The agenda of this meeting includes a head-to-head meeting among presidents in one hour's length, followed by a working lunch, with the possibility of participating in other diplomats.
There was also a press conference before, but due to some delays in the start of the meeting, there is no known whether there will be a change of plans.
Putin has praised his Russian counterpart for the successful organisation of the World Cup before talks on other topics begin.
I'd like to congratulate you on organising the World Cup, the best ever organisation”, Trump said.
Trump has added that US Russia has not had good reports in recent years, but according to him, relations are improving in the past two years.
Having good reports with Russia is good, not bad”, he said.
