Kurteshi: Don't vote for access to public documents, there are some cases that are hidden there.

The Kosovo Assembly has reviewed the Bill for Access to Public Documents. Education Minister Shyqi said that access to documents is fundamental right and that the bill in question contains obligations for public institutions “The bill contains obligations for public institutions to keep data open that can be used [...]
The draft contains obligations for public institutions to keep data open that can be used by individuals and businesses. Opening data would enable new businesses, especially those of information technology, to create applications with the necessary data for a new market that would help the economy and the opening of new jobs”, Bytyqi said.
But Vetevendosje MP Sami Kurteshi called on MPs not to vote on the bill.
“The second part is the essence. It's just access to public documents, the articles I read about earlier, and especially about the monopoly that international organizations like Bechtel Enka or any other organization in Kosovo that does not give contracts to become public. These are those issues that are chief in the law and have political character and have no legal character, but they are legal standards. We have other issues. I'm saying it completely openly to show the political position of the VV. In the form the law has been offered with these secretions that are very surveilical, basically I ask colleagues not to approve this law”, Kurteshi said.
Although it was in the order of the day before and second consideration of Bill No. 06/L-046 for the Education Inspectorate in the Republic of Kosovo, second review of Bill No. 06/L-042 for blood and blood components, second review of Bill No. 06/ L-009 for Intermediation and Second Review of Bill No. 06/ L-010 for Noterina, they were postponed for review at the next session, which will be appointed by the Assembly Chief in the coming days.
