A Hungarian Government spokesman has rejected reports that the country has reached an agreement with German Chancellor Angela Merkel for accepting asylum seekers.
Media have reported that Merkel has managed to get the support of 14 European Union member states, including Hungary, for asylum seekers to be placed in special centres within EU states, where they will wait for the procedures to review their requirements.
“We have not reached such an agreement”, Hungarian Government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs has said, broadcast Reuters.
