The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has held a working meeting with Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica, Interior Minister Bejtush Gashi, Kosovo Security Force Minister Rrustem Berisha, Deputy Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Besim Demi, representative of Kosovo Firefighters, Muharrem Beka, and initiative co-ordinator “to clean Kosovo”, Luan Hasaj, who has talked about the general action that will be carried out for Kosovo's clean up the initiative, this Haradaj initiative.
The media report said Haradinaj said this initiative to clean up Kosovo should have the attention of all institutions and citizens, as even 19 years after the war has not yet been undertaken as a general action to make Kosovo more beautiful and cleaner.
Haradinaj gave the idea for clearing Kosovo during the summit on sustainable development, dedicated to the environment.
The state of the environment in Kosovo is not satisfactory, so it is time for us to pay due attention to the environment, create green spaces and preserve nature”, Haradinaj said.
Prime Minister Haradinaj said that in Kosovo it is beginning to invest in renewable and clean energy, which will preserve the health of citizens and the environment from pollution, but that Kosovo's cleanup general is the most necessary initiative and that now is the last time to react.
Today's meeting with institutions representatives is the first, which will precede the creation of a general task force and an operational plan that will include all institutional actors and representatives from non-governmental organisations for cleaning up Kosovo General, who will start in the autumn to continue until the end of the year.
