Haradinaj gives three months of term to courts, prosecutions to resolve accumulated materials

“Court and Prosecutorial representatives in the country should have a concrete managerial plan for how to address the solutions of the collected and targeted materials and encourage our institutions to engage intensively in carrying out tasks, separately for the accumulated materials, and in a three-month deadline, to have concrete results [...]

At today's meeting, last month's achievements were introduced by the relevant institutions, and in particular it was discussed cases involving the fight against organised crime and corruption.

Haradinaj said that the country's government has consistently committed itself to creating better working conditions for the country's judges, to increase their number, salaries and operating budget, and that now it is the moment to concreteise even with positive results in solving the materials that have been collected for years.

The resolution of these cases, not only does it mark positive results on our path towards Euro-Atlantic integration, but it is also achieved for empowering the state, for empowering family and institutions. We can't be held back from time. We must install a new labour dynamic, discipline”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.

At today's meeting, the situation was introduced by the chairman of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Enver Peci, the chairman of the Court of Appeals, Hasan Shala, the Chairman of the Supreme Court's Single Chamber of the Supreme Court, Sahit Sylejmani, the head of the Constitutional Court of Pristina, Venus Byty, the head of the Criminal Court, the Constitutional Court of Pec, Kresnik Radoniqi, the chairman of the National Court of Prizren, Ymer Hoxha, Chairman of the Gjilan, Ramiz Asia, head of the Constitutional Court of Mitrovica Mitrovica, head of the Court, the Court, the Foundation of Pristina Court, the Court of Bursonson, the Court of Bursonson. Representatives of these institutions unveiled statistics and labour trends, the number of active judges, procedures and reduced percentages of collected cases, as well as expressed their readiness and pledges for targeted cases to have priorities and be resolved within the pre-term terms.

US Ambassador to Kosovo Greg Delawi, EU Mission Chief Natalia Apostolova, praised the institutions' commitment to resolving cases, encouraging them to continue and score progress in order to get concrete results.

In conclusion of the meeting, Prime Minister Haradinaj called on representatives of the rule of law institutions to install a new labour dynamic and concrete management plan, so that the trend of resolving cases will change and pledged to continue supporting this sector.

The year 2018 has been declared the year of the rule of order and the Law in the country, until high-level meetings in this area are being organized in an effort to change the situation created for decades in the country.
