The same ones were confiscated by guns, bullets, computers, CDs and other material evidence. As police have announced the arrest, Gjilan's chief prosecutor has said the suspects were only in custody. Meanwhile, Serbia during the day has threatened intermittent talks if the five arrested were not released.

Five Serbs from the Shilova and Kufca villages of Gjilani have been arrested and then released in regular procedure, suspected of involvement in activities against Kosovo's constitutional order and security.

Through a communique, police had announced the arrest of suspects this morning.

But, in the afternoon, Gjilan's chief prosecutor, Jetish Maloku, has said the suspects have only been in custody and after the interview, the same have been released in regular procedure.

At the request of the Department of Police Crimes, we have opened investigations into five persons suspected of threats, blackmail and pressure on Serb KSF members. Five suspects were interviewed and then released in regular procedure. ”

Maloku has reported that weapons, bullets of various calibres, computers, CDs, and other materials will serve as material evidence during the raid.

“We are in the initial phase of the investigation and we will see what we are going to do next after looking at and analyzing confiscated materials. ”

Unacceptable, he has called threats to the families of KSF members, Chief Parliamentary Kadri Wessel.

He has added that Kosovo is always for dialogue with Serbia and that provocations do not contribute to the interests of the two countries.

“Today, the institutions of order and security in Kosovo have fulfilled their duty, arresting five persons suspected of breaching security and order. The continued attempts by Serbian politics to prevent and damage the integration of Kosovo Serb citizens are contrary to the principles of good neighbourlyity, the interests of Serbian citizens in Kosovo, European values and aspirations for EU integration.”

Shortly after receiving news of the Serb arrest, the chief of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian Government, Marko Djuric, had threatened to cut off talks in Brussels if the arrested Serbs were not released by evening.

Meanwhile, the Serbian Police Action List has called excessive use of violence and intimidation of Kosovo Serbs.

Days ago, KSF Minister Rrustem Berisha has announced that more than 40 members of the force have applied for evacuation, due to pressure from the Serbian state.
