Foreign tourists invade southern Albania

On the coast, the Albanian language is hard to hear in the mall. More than 1,000 tourists enter the port.

southern Albania, a discovery for foreigners. On our journey, we meet two Germans on the road to Saranda, who after seeing every corner of Europe, are curious about Balkan countries.

We came to Albania on motorcycles because we expected it to be nice here. The streets are spectacular. For us, Albania was a distant country to come, so it is like an adventure”, says Johannes Mueller.

We decided to cross all Balkan countries. We started our first trip to Greece and then came here to Albania, then to Macedonia, and finally we will return home, Germany. We really liked it here, the turning roads are challenging”, said Raja Arab, tourist.

Neils is Norwegian and a very good swimmer. Jon's rudeness is one of the reasons why he came to Albania.

An Albanian friend is accompanying us to explore the south. Yesterday we were in Gjirokastra and the Blue Eye, and here we are. I'm really enjoying the stay in Albania, the clean and perfect water sea to swim, nice people and cheap prices compared to Norway”, Neils says.

But Neils is not the only Scandinavian who prefers to rest in the south. It also finds endless Europeans. For tourists, Albania is an adventure. A little place you're attracted to.

We've heard a lot about Albania. For weather, sea, food and prices. In Norway, good words for Albania are now widespread”, the tourist says.

“We have been in different countries, last summer in Croatia. But this time we read about it in Albania was supposed to be an ideal vacation, which would be great. Actually, it is. And it's too cheap. Good thing, for us as students who don't have a lot of money”, says a Polish tourist.

“People are very social. If you ask them about something, everyone is willing to help out and they look very happy when they see us”, says another.

It's good here in Albania, it looks good. I like everything”, says a child from France.

Dandti has a beautiful color. I'm a little jealous because our Baltic Sea isn't so clear, say a tourist from Sweden.

We want this relation between the sea and the mountain here. It's really fascinating”, says another.
