Fire Union Chairman Muharrem Beka at a news conference warned the employees' protest.

The reason for this, according to him, is the lack of working conditions, as well as the many problems they face in terms of both the rights of workers and the non-invention of laws in power.

He said they have had many promises from domestic institutions, but that they are left only on paper and that the situation in this service has only deteriorated and that no step has been made.

“We have shown ourselves, we have had different challenges during this period. But institutions have no readiness, no understanding. We were ignored, despised, and it is a moment when firefighters are very disappointed, revolted, and that this situation cannot continue indefinitely. Firefighters' demands are to react to union measures. We have called this press conference to publicize the protest, which we will organise at 12.07 in front of the government building. Requests are also known for media and institutions. Everyone knows the demands. Everyone knows the position, and everyone in fact recognizes that this situation must change. And the minister of finance himself publicly in the media acknowledges that there are tools and acknowledges that this situation has been created, even says problematic that it is not a problem. But don't harmonise, not co-ordination of MPB, MF, Ministry of Administration, Local Power, Mayors, this situation has always been left at stake, always at the expense of firefighters”, Beka said.

Beka says they have hoped that with the budget review, solutions will be made for them, but now it is said there will be no review at all.
